Billie R. Woodsides

Billie R. Woodsides, 72, of Du Quoin, passed away at 12:05 P.M., Sunday, April 27, 2003 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Billie had worked as a locomotive engineer for Illinois Central Railroad.  He was a Christian and a member of Old Du Quoin Baptist Church.  He was a member of Du Quoin Masonic Lodge, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, and the Men's Sunday School Class at Old Du Quoin Baptist Church.  He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was born February 10, 1931 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of Carl and Cora (Wright) Woodsides.
He married Reba Mae Williams on November 28, 1958 at Dowell, IL and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, one daughter - Karla Kloss and husband Mark of Staunton, IL, three grandsons - Joseph, Thomas, and John Kloss, two brothers - Donald Woodsides of Du Quoin and Gerald Woodsides of Elkville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services were at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at the Old Du Quoin Baptist Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Ted Clark officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M., Wednesday at the Old Du Quoin Baptist Church.
Interment was in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.
